Job Description
Merchant Finance Pte Limited (MFL) is seeking two motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join our Finance Department as Payment Officers. The role provides operational support to ensure customer payments, cheque processing, account postings, and reconciliations are accurately managed in line with MFL policies and internal controls.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Processing customer payments via bank, mobile transfer, Post Fiji, and other approved channels.
Posting transactions to customer lending accounts and general ledger.
Preparing cheques for approved requisitions and loan-related payments.
Maintaining accurate financial records and filing payment documentation.
Assisting with reconciliations of accounts and bank statements.
Actioning system requests including account updates and corrections.
Liaising with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders on payment matters.
Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
Performing any other operational or administrative tasks assigned.
To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Diploma in Accounting, Business Accounting, or related qualification.
At least 1 year experience in finance, accounting, or clerical roles.
Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
Good written and spoken English; other vernacular languages an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
