Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Officer to manage loan repayments, assist with debt recovery, and ensure compliance with company policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the collection of the Branch’s Loan Portfolio, including but not limited to:
Promptly address arrears reports in accordance with collection policies and procedures, ensuring early detection and management of overdue accounts to mitigate risk and minimise losses for MFL.
Make collection calls on delinquent accounts to discuss recovery of the amount through payment in full, payment arrangements, or possible settlements.
Ensuring accounts Reviews are undertaken on regular basis with appropriate recommendation in place
Issuing Arrears Letters & Demand Notices.
Initiating bailiff actions, collections, and repossession of overdue accounts, upon approval.
Ensuring compliance with Risk & Compliance matters.
Managing Personal Property Securities Register applications and discharges.
To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Experience in previous collection or credit role will be an advantage.
Candidates must also have planning, organizing skills as well as the ability to make sound and prudent judgment.
Diploma in Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
Has working knowledge of relevant legislations.
Excellent writing, reporting, analytical, engagement and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
