Job Description

We are seeking a competent and robust individual who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance and technical support of MFL’s IT infrastructure and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer and support MFL’s servers, operating systems, network infrastructure and related IT services.
  • Monitor the availability and performance of critical IT infrastructure and escalate identified issues where required.
  • Support MFL’s Head Office and branch network connectivity.
  • Assist with administration and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless and internet connectivity.
  • Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
  • Ensure approved IT security standards, policies and procedures are followed.
  • Monitor scheduled backups and confirm completion of backup jobs.
  • Conduct periodic checks of IT equipment and asset information.
  • Assist the IT Manager – Support with implementation of IT projects and system upgrades.
  • Liaise with approved IT vendors and service providers for technical support and fault resolution.
  • Be available for occasional after-hours support, system maintenance or project activities where required.

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline from a recognized institution, or an equivalent combination of relevant qualification and practical experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications in Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity or infrastructure technologies would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to information security and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, vendors and service providers.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system issues.
